“A perfectly chosen destination by the SyriaLink team! In spite of my short and quick three days tour in Syria, I still had the opportunity to have a lot of fun. I loved it when the organizers told us we will go to Saidnaya and the guides started telling the story of this town. I was thrilled that such a beautiful city is located in the middle east and felt sorry a little bit that I didn’t know about it before, it’s strange how the global media don’t emphasize the vibrant side of Syria. Saidnaya really has two completely different sides; the spiritual one with all the ancient monasteries like the Our Lady of Saidnaya Monastery which is a must-see site as it has so many historic chapels and special artworks. The other side is the entertaining side with all the restaurants, pool parties, late-night celebrations, and many other activities!”

“A worthwhile trip, I was planning to visit Damascus for a very long time. In Damascus, many old houses are still inhabited to this day! One of the most noticeable features of such houses is the central open courtyard, which typically has an alcove where inhabitants may host visitors and cool off in the summer, a water fountain, seating for the family and guests, and the most amazing part was the citrus trees since the entire house is filled with their fresh aroma. I can’t describe how I am taken by such a beautiful old architecture.”

” It was a wonderfully organized short trip with beautiful swimming spots, and fascinating lectures on the region and history. I am half Russian half Syrian, but this is my first time to Syria. My Dad used to tell a lot about this country, including its culture, religious diversity, fine cuisine, art that reflects the coexistence of various civilizations that once inhabited these territories, historical heritage and many other topics. Although I was only in this beautiful country for two days, I was ecstatic to see my ancestral home lands.”
