Our team consists of 23 professionals organized across various departments, including Air Ticketing, Operations, Sales, and MICE. At Syria Link, leadership sets the standard through example, represented by the following key figures:
General Manager
Iyad has spent more than thirty years shaping travel across the Middle East. He co-founded Destinations in 2007 with Dr. Haytham Alhajali, then launched Syria Link in 2011, after leading the tours and travel department at Experts for Travel and Tourism in Damascus. He stays active in global roadshows and travel-industry events, bringing the latest standards in destination management back to the team.
Air Ticketing Manager
Majd holds a BA in Business Administration from Damascus University and brings close to three decades of experience in air ticketing. He spent seventeen years at the Austrian Airlines agency in Damascus, rising from sales supervisor to office manager and then assistant sales manager. Since joining Syria Link in 2014, he has led our six-person ticketing team, handling reservations for agencies and travelers across the country.
Operations Manager
Samar has spent more than twenty-five years in travel and tourism, with deep experience in airline coordination at Fly Dubai in Damascus before joining Syria Link. She oversees day-to-day operations and keeps every moving part of a trip aligned, from the first inquiry to the final transfer. She works in Arabic, English, and French.
Head of Inbound & MICE
Alaa is a graduate of the Hotel and Tourism Training Centre in Damascus and has worked in tourism and hospitality since 1994. He leads our inbound department, designing private and group itineraries, and runs our MICE work for exhibitions, conferences, and corporate visits. He joined Syria Link in 2019.
Aviation Manager
Ihab has worked in travel for more than thirty years, starting as a sales manager in Damascus in 1990 and moving through corporate and individual travel worldwide. He joined Syria Link in 2016 to oversee business and corporate airline reservations, with a focus on complex multi-leg itineraries and group bookings.
Accounting Manager
Diyaa holds a BA in Commerce from Damascus University and has been with Syria Link since 2011, joining as part of the founding finance team. He was promoted to Accounting Manager in 2018 and now oversees budgeting, reporting, auditing, compliance, and the internal controls that keep our numbers clean.
