Why Visit Damascus
Damascus is one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities and the natural starting point for any Syria tour. The Old City holds the Umayyad Mosque, the Al-Hamidiyah Souq, the Azem Palace, and the traditional quarters of Bab Touma and Bab Sharqi. It is compact enough to explore on foot, and most of our tours begin and end here.

Tours From Damascus
Most of our Syria tours start in Damascus. A 3-day tour covers the Old City and a journey to Palmyra, while longer 5-day and 7-day itineraries add Homs, Aleppo, and the coast. Half-day or full-day walking tours of the Old City are also available as a private excursion.
When to Visit
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the most comfortable seasons in Damascus. Summer is hot but the Old City's shaded souqs and courtyards stay pleasant. Winter is cool and occasionally rainy, with fewer visitors.
