Booking terms, cancellation policy, and conditions of travel with Syria Link

Booking and Confirmation

All tours are confirmed via email. A booking is not confirmed until you receive written confirmation from Syria Link. Submitting an inquiry form does not constitute a confirmed booking. Syria Link will provide a detailed itinerary, price quote, and payment instructions after reviewing your inquiry.

Payment Terms

Payment terms are provided with your tour quote. Typically, a deposit is required to confirm your booking, with the balance due before the tour start date. Payment methods accepted include bank transfer and cash (USD). Syria Link does not process online payments through this website.

Cancellation and Changes

Cancellation by You

Cancellation terms are provided with your booking confirmation. In general:

  • Cancellations more than 30 days before departure: deposit may be refundable minus administrative fees
  • Cancellations 15-30 days before departure: partial refund of deposit
  • Cancellations less than 15 days before departure: deposit is non-refundable

Specific cancellation terms may vary by tour and are detailed in your booking confirmation.

Changes by You

Date changes and itinerary modifications requested after booking are accommodated where possible. Significant changes close to departure may incur additional costs.

Cancellation by Syria Link

In the unlikely event that Syria Link must cancel a tour due to safety, operational, or force majeure reasons, you will receive a full refund of amounts paid to Syria Link. Syria Link is not liable for any other costs you may incur (such as flights).

Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance with medical and evacuation coverage is mandatory for all Syria Link tours. You must provide proof of insurance before your tour begins. Syria Link is not responsible for costs arising from medical issues, accidents, lost luggage, trip interruption, or evacuation.

Liability

Syria Link acts as an agent for hotels, transport services, and other suppliers. Syria Link is not liable for injury, loss, damage, delay, or irregularity caused by third-party suppliers, force majeure, or events beyond our reasonable control. By booking with Syria Link, you acknowledge that travel in Syria involves inherent risks different from travel in more developed tourism destinations.

Passport and Visa

You are responsible for ensuring you have a valid passport and any required visas. Syria Link provides visa assistance and invitation letters, but visa approval is at the sole discretion of Syrian authorities. Syria Link is not liable if a visa is denied or delayed.

Tour Participation

Syria Link reserves the right to decline service to any traveler whose behavior disrupts the tour or poses a risk. You are expected to follow your guide's instructions regarding safety, local customs, and schedule. Syria Link may modify itineraries without notice when required by safety, weather, or operational conditions.

Prices

Prices are quoted in US dollars. Syria Link reserves the right to adjust pricing if circumstances beyond our control materially affect tour costs. Any price change will be communicated before your booking is confirmed.
